Product Engineering Manager

Armada is looking for an engineer to head up our product engineering group. Armada designs, develops and manufactures automotive assemblies. We are fully design responsible for a majority of our products. This individual needs to organize the workings of the product engineering department and provide technical leadership and be part of the Armada senior management team. The candidate would need automotive interface experience at the OEM level, design experience and, preferably, plastic injection molding experience. The need is immediate. A. NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for all Product Engineering activities at Armada while following all IATF 16949 requirements. Act as integral part of the senior management team including taking part in setting company strategy and direction as well as attending the monthly QOS meetings

B. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and oversee the product engineering team to meet our growth requirements and to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Provide technical leadership to designers, technical specialists and product engineers / program managers
  • Prioritize product engineering activities
  • Follow and update, as necessary, all IATF 16949 product engineering systems
  • Keep up to date on leading edge technology for our products

  • Support sales functions in all initial quotation and technical discussions
  • Develop strong customer relationships through direct contact

C. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with P.Eng. Designation preferred
  • Minimum of Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with P.Eng. Designation preferred
  • Minimum of Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with P.Eng. Designation preferred
